Zain is a member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), membership number 000000, and Zain Therapy is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZA000000.

Information We Collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and message when you use the contact form or email us
- Bookings: the details you give when booking a consultation or session
- Therapy: notes and records needed to provide safe and effective therapy, which may include information about your health
- Payments: the details needed to record bank transfer or cash payments
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange and provide therapy, take payments, keep appropriate records, and meet our professional and legal obligations. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Lawful Basis
We process your information to take steps at your request before an agreement and to provide the therapy you have agreed to, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running the practice safely. Information about your health is processed for the provision of health care under UK GDPR Article 9(2)(h) and the Data Protection Act 2018, or with your explicit consent where that is more appropriate.
The Contact Form
Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to Zain Therapy and are not stored on this website. Please do not include detailed health information in your first message; we can talk about this safely once we are in touch.
To keep out spam, the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical details about your browser and connection (such as your IP address) to confirm that a person, not a program, is sending the message. It is used only for security, not for tracking or advertising.
Sharing Your Information
Your information is only shared with services that help us run the practice, such as our website host, email provider, booking system and video-call platform, under appropriate agreements. We may also share information where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not lead to therapy are deleted within 12 months. Therapy records are kept securely for seven years after therapy ends, in line with professional guidance, and then deleted securely.
Keeping It Secure
We use secure, password-protected systems and encrypted connections, and limit access to the information needed to provide your care.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Some rights have limits, for example where we must keep records. To use any of these rights, email talk@zaintherapy.com.

If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this website.
